Landing from Free sections
Result: four blocks on the site. The draft is not public. The MODX resource Save button publishes sections. The Sections tab has no separate Publish button.
Before you start
- The MODX resource is published. An unpublished resource does not open the page.
- The template contains uncached
[[!PageBuilder]].
Steps
- Open the resource and the Sections tab.
- Add section and pick
hero, richtext, faq, andctafrom Blocks. - Fill the fields in Properties.
- Click Save on the resource. The editor validates fields and writes
published_json. - Open the page on the site.
Example fields
Hero. Title Kitchen remodel to your measurements, Description Measure the same day, estimate the next. Button label Request a visit, Button URL /contacts.html. Alignment left.
Rich text. A short paragraph about what the job includes.
FAQ. Title Common questions. Two rows: question and answer.
CTA. Title Need a measure, Text Send the district and a good time. Buttons match the Hero.
The same order with other Free sections:
| Job | Section |
|---|---|
| Numbers | stats |
| A review | testimonials |
| One photo | image |
| A clip | video |
| A gap | spacer |
| Three cards | cards |
With Pro you can add how_it_works, media_split, case_study, newsletter, or quote to the same order. If a type is missing from the catalog, check requires and the resource context.
Rollback: move the section to the page trash, or unpublish sections through mgr/page/unpublish when that button is in the UI. The draft stays.
